7 nights to explore Portugal from North to South. This tour is perfect to get closer to Portugal, its culture, history and of course its gastronomy. Years after years, the country has developped new technics to produce and offer fresh and fine wines, now known all over the world. If we first think of Port wine when talking about Portuguese wines, there are many more and you will be able to discover them all along this tour. You'll start in the beautiful city of Porto and get to the Douro Valley, where you will enter one of the world's most beautiful vineyards. And days after days, you will immerse yourself in the country by trying typical food, drinking unique wines and admiring stunning cities and villages such as Óbidos, Cascaes or Sintra. You will visit wineries, historical monuments, museums etc. It is in the capital, the wonderful city of Lisbon that the trip will come to an end.

  • Wineries will be selected depending on availability and your personal preferences, we can always try to include the ones you prefer
  • Usually you will taste a minimum of two or three wines on each winery; more extensive tastings can be included.
  • Although this is a private tour we do not guarantee that the winery visit will be just for your group unless specifically requested. Please let us know if you prefer to have a private tour and tasting.
  • Please keep in mind that Sunday is the worse day to visit wineries, Saturday is not great either but better than Sunday. However, we could arrange for a tour those days as well.
  • If you have a specific budget let us know, we can consider it.
  • These  tours can be done starting with 2 people.
  • If for any reason any given establishment is not available during the dates requested, we will change the winery, hotel or restaurant for a different one within the same category and level of service.

First stop will be at a family-owned charming wine estate, one of the best known estates in the Douro region and also one of the first properties to bottle wine under its own label.
You will be hosted by the owner.
Enjoy a private visit to wine cellars followed by lectured wine tasting.
Lunch (not included) will be served at an elegant restaurant settled in a building of contemporary lines with a picket based that extends along an elegant wooden deck overlooking the river.
Marvel with a private river cruise aboard a typical Rabelo boat with snacks and wines aboard, assisted by a local passionate guide.

Drive towards Lisbon, Europe's second-oldest capital (after Athens)  and one of the world's greatest natural harbors which attracted different civilizations, now reflected in its architecture and culture recalling Phoenicians, Celts, Romans, Visigoths and Moors.
En route, indulge in an exclusive wine journey at a charming family-owned wine estate with historic vineyards, dating back to the 16th century, fine wines referred by Wine Spectator, beautifully sited on the sunny hillsides of Portugal’s Estremadura region, north-east of Lisbon.
You will be hosted by the family, and oenologist, and invited to a private visit to the wine cellars and lectured wine tasting followed by lunch at the owner's house.
After lunch, stop at Óbidos, Portugal's most romantic medieval village, also known as the "Wedding Present Town" because it was a gift King Dinis gave to Queen Isabel on their wedding day in 1282. Enjoy a leisure walk inside the walls.

Stop at the 19th century factory converted into a pastry shop for a gourmet treat with Pastéis de Belem and a glass of Port (reservation not accepted). Follows a private visit to Coach Museum.
Lunch (not included) at a genuine quality restaurant dedicated to good food with a cavernous interior and excellent food.

During the afternoon, enjoy a private walking tour to Alfama district with private visit to St.

Drive follows towards Cascais, a formerly quaint fishing village that became (along with neighboring Estoril) a popular resort favored by European nobility and kings in the early 20th century.
Today it is a colorful cosmopolitan town with elegant pedestrian streets, luxuriant villas, fashionable shops, restaurants and bars.
Upon arrival, enjoy a private guided tour to the local market leaded by your Chef.
Follows a private cooking lesson at a charming noble house facing the sea where lunch will be served.
Drive follows towards Sintra, an extraordinary town with a surreal mixture of history and fantasy, protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
During the afternoon, enjoy a private guided tour to Sintra historical centre with private visit to Pena Palace and National Palace.

At the end of the afternoon, indulge in a flavored gourmet treat with the local pastry Queijadas and Travesseiros at a local wine bar.

During the morning enjoy a private guided tour to Évora, one of Portugal's finest and most delightful towns.
It is a true open-air museum with a large number of wonderfully preserved monuments and buildings of public interest that led UNESCO to protect it as a World Heritage Site.

Next stop will be at one of Portugal's top wine and olive oil producers and the largest privately held wine company in Portugal.
With the estate's original boundaries dating back to 1267, a medieval tower and chapel from the 15th and 16th centuries respectively and a detailed archaeological dig (with museum) of a pre-historic settlement that existed on the property some 5,000 years ago, it's no wonder that the land is nationally recognized for its historical importance.

After lunch relax and enjoy the views from the estate terrace facing the Alentejo plains.
