In the most beautiful part of the Rioja Alavesa rises the surprising silhouette of Ysios . Conceived as the spearhead of the D.O. Rioja in the 21st century, it is fully integrated into the landscape, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria which protects it from the north-westerly winds. The bodega surprises and fascinates anyone who visits this privileged land, regarded as one of the best places in the world for growing vines.

The architect Santiago Calatrava designed it from the sublimation of the outline of a row of barrels. Inside, too, you will find the same ultra-modern style.

All this innovation is set against a traditional process of producing and ageing the wine by plots. In this way, a modern Reserva wine is born, Ysios , with a good balance between fruit and the reminders of toasted oak, which expresses and respects the particular personality of the vines from which it comes

The Ysios bodega was designed by Santiago Calatrava to blend into the landscape of Laguardia, at the base of the Sierra de Cantabria. The bodega features a mixture of modern style and practical design to facilitate the winemaking process .

Wines are made from grapes grown in the bodegas own vineyards, preserving all the personality of each of the terroirs. There are three main plots covering a total area of 50 hectares .
