It is located in a 17 th century house, which was owned by the Counts of Berberana and has been always well-known by the people in Burgos due to its greatness, strength, facade and Rodríguez Salamancas' coat of arms, which shows antiquity and nobility, where the respect for its history and nowadays expectations have been merged.

Mr Manuel Francisco Gil Delgado Rodríguez de Salamanca, Conde de Berberana from the 12 November 1789, when the king Carlos IV signed its Real Letter of elevation and honour, was entrusted with its building. There is no reason to doubt or to deny the date written on the facade stone of the Casa-Palacio, saying that it was finished in 1794. The principal facade and its portal from the 18th-century are remarkable, as well as the back facade, the Arcos lounge and the Francisco de Vitoria lounge from the 16th century.
