2005
is the 4th Centenary of the publication of the first
edition of The ingenious knight don Quixote de la Mancha, the
best known piece in Spanish literature. To join this celebration we
invite you to follow this route in La Mancha, where you will enjoy winery
visits with special wine tasting and a tour to the famous mills fought
by don Quixote. You will also discover the authentic gastronomy of La
Mancha in selected restaurants or in a field meal or "comida
campera" in a winery. We will taste the spectacular and famous
manchego cheese always tasty, but really outstanding
accompanied by a good manchego white or red wine. We
will leave Madrid in the morning around 9.00 am
towards La Mancha admiring the scenery of this beautiful rural
region along the way. We will be given a comprehensive tour of the winery,
visiting the facilities and being guided through the process and secrets
of wine making, from the grape to the bottle. This will be both an educational
and fun experience.
After the visits we will enjoy a well deserved lunch where we’ll try the typical dishes from La Mancha. Lunch will be a three course meal with wine and coffee. We’ll try to have lunch in a winery or a charming restaurant.
