FALL
IN SPANISH WINE COUNTRY
Harvest
is over, wine is being made in the wineries
and this is a great time to visit the wine
country. You can taste the wine in different
stages of the process, from the deposit, before
the malolactic fermentation, after the malolactic,
from the barrel, and of course from the bottle.
2008 has been a difficult year, lots of rain
in Spain, and wineries needed to work extra
hard to get the level of wine excellence they
want.
We
want to offer customized
private tours before we post
some scheduled tours for 2009 in January.
All tours are available upon request,
you can check our web
page to get ideas.
This
time we recommend wineries and hotels in less
known wine regions, Somontano, Penedes amd
Priorat. Olvena
in Somontano and Jean Leon in Penedes
are our selected modern wineries.
And charming hotels
to get lost in style: El
Privilegio de Tena in the Pyrennes and Heredad
de Mas Collet in Priorat. Also
a historical cellar from the 15th century
in Aranda de Duero, Bodega
Don Carlos.
Do
not forget to have a look to our agenda,
with all our tours and a lot of activities
to enjoy wine and gastronomy in Spain.
