FOR GOURMET VACATIONS IN SPAIN
Now
is the time to prepare your vacation for this
fall. September and October are great months
to take a wine tour, the vineyards are beautiful
and full of grapes, and you can even experience
the harvest first hand. The weather is perfect
to enjoy the countryside and for other outdoors
activities like golfing, bicycling, horse
riding or walking. And don't forget cultural
visits or spa treatments.
In
September we have two special
tours scheduled: Northern
Spain Gourmet Wine Tour Sep 3-9,
which focuses in Wine, Gastronomy and Cooking;
and San Mateo Festival
Rioja Wine Tour, Sep 20-23,
to enjoy Rioja wine and the Harvest Festival.

month we feature two wineries with
on site hotel, one in La Mancha,
Pago del Vicario,
with a great restaurant as well, and another
one in Rioja Casa
del Cofrade. And a country hotel
with an excellent restaurant in Penedés,
El Bosc.

Hotel and Restaurant EL BOSC is
a place dedicated to bring you closer
to the land of Penedes. Susan and
Jordi, the managers of El Bosc,
are wonderful people that take pleasure
in every guest that comes and enjoy
their food and their hospitality.
The hotel is small, and it is located
in the middle of a forest, (Bosc
means forest in Catalan). It has
a few comfortable rooms and a great
restaurant with local food and very
high quality fresh ingredients.
Their specialty is meat roasted
in the grill served in a hot slate
stone. Their wine list is quite
good with local and Spanish references.
