PLANNING
YOUR TRIP IN FEBRUARY
February is usually a month for planning the
trips of the year. Although for the people
who come to do a winter wine tour it is exceptionally
nice, it is quiet, people in the wineries
are relaxed and they have time to share with
visitors.
Classical
Wines in Rioja and Ribera del Duero
is one of our new scheduled tours. Our recommendations
this month are in the regions of the tour,
the top winery Fernando
Remírez de Ganuza one
of the most prestigious in Rioja,
and an excellent local restaurant, El
Lagar de San Vicente in Peñafiel
(Valladolid). We are also very happy to introduce
you to Viajes y Vinos,
our representative in the Caribbean market.
And we have the scheduled tours for 2005 and
our agenda for the rest of the season.

FEATURED TOUR |
|
May 17- 20. CLASSICAL WINES - Rioja and
Ribera del Duero. From
Madrid
This
tour is perfect for people who want to experience
Spanish wine and Spanish culture. It includes
visits to wineries in the two most important
regions for Spanish wines: Ribera del Duero
and Rioja. The tour will also take you through
the history and art of Spain, from the 2000
year old Roman Aqueduct in Segovia to the
new Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, including
monasteries, cathedrals and historical sites
that will be visited and admired.
Short
and sweet, spend four days and three nights
to immerse into the Spanish culture, wine
and gastronomy, stay in small towns home
of winemakers, and eat with the locals,
in the typical places not frequented by
tourist and in the very good places, popular
with everybody. And, of course, enjoy the
best wines of Spain, comparing such different
regions as the modernity and innovation
of Ribera del Duero with the tradition of
Rioja. This tour can be specially designed
for corporate events.

This
restaurant asador is located
in an old cave-cellar underneath
the castle of Peñafiel. Serving
traditional food,
the menu has a lot of items to choose
from, but their specialty is lamb
