WINE TOURS IN EASTER AND TRADITIONAL SPAIN
Easter, April 9-12, it is a great time to visit Spain and enjoy its wine, food and traditions. Almost all Spanish towns will have some Easter celebration and processions; some are really famous and impressive, like the ones in Sevilla, Toledo, Valladolid or Zamora, most of them in the middle of a wine area. You can combine this with a wine tour and taste some of the typical Easter food.
For
independent travelers we suggest Semi-Guided
Gourmet Wine Tours. You can rent
a car (driving is not difficult in Spain)
and we plan the trip for you. We provide local transport and a guide for the wine tours,
since we don't encourage drinking and driving. Available upon request and with 20% discount if you book now.
This time we recommend wineries and hotels from regions where you can also enjoy Easter traditions. Like Ribera del Duero with the winery Prado de Olmedo and the charming rural toursim center wine spa Lavida. Another really interesting winery is Guelbenzu in Navarra. The perfect boutique hotel to explore the Toro region and see some of the most striking Easter processions can be found in Zamora, hotel Melia Horus. And a great restaurant in Madrid, El Coso in Retiro Park area
Do
not forget to have a look to our agenda,
with all our tours and a lot of activities
to enjoy wine and gastronomy in Spain.

EL COSO in Madrid.
El Coso is located in the Retiro Park area, (Sainz de Baranda metro stop), in an area very interesting in for food lovers, with plenty of restaurants and tapas bars. El Coso also has a bar with great tapas. Perfect if you want an experience out of the most touristic areas. Don’t be intimidated for the bullfight decoration, you won't find many tourist here, mostly locals. And their food and customer service are the best (average price 40 euros).
Their food is creative and modern with traditional foundation, and the presentation of the dishes can be spectacular when they are finished at the table. They have a pretty good wine menu and excellent wines by the glass in the bar and at the table. More information |
